Dr. Pintu Mahakul is an Indian freelance writer, poet, philosopher, researcher and social activist born at village Gandam of Deogarh district in Indian state of Odisha. He is educationally B.Pharm, M.B.A and Ph. D. (Business Administration) Currently he is a Post-Doctoral (D.Litt.) Scholar in Business Administration in Berhampur University, Odisha. His books are catalogued in reputed libraries and universities of the world and poems are reviewed by internationally renowned poets and authors. Dr. Pintu has received many honours from different organizations for his literary ability and social activities, award and title of Pragyanpurusha. He has received Rajiv Gandhi Prativa Puraskar in 2008. Basically he focuses on spirituality based management for development of human resources with ethics, morality and development of attitudes and behaviours. Also he focuses on stress related issues of employees and people. His spiritual management research articles are published in world reputed international journals. He has also proposed few model theories for management. He has attended many spiritual, cultural and social programmes on invitation of people and organizations in the state and outside as speaker.

Professor Satyanarayan Pathi (Ph. D.) is a professor of Business Administration in Berhampur University; Odisha has taken birth at Pandarakhali village of Ganjam district in Indian state of Odisha. He has worked as Head of the Department, Berhampur University (2000-2002), Chairman, Board of Studies in Department of Business Administration, Coordinator, PG Diploma in Management and Warden for P.G hostels etc. He has attended many National and International Seminars and Conferences. He has produced successful Ph.D. and D.litt. scholars. His research articles are published in National and world reputed International journals and in edited books. He has scripted and edited many books of high repute. His academic excellence is not only limited to teaching but also he has become question setter for OPSC in OAS Examination, question setter for Utkal University, Fakir Mohan University, Sambalpur University and Kolhan University. Prof. Pathi has also worked as External Examiner for Ph.D. of Allagappa University, Madras and Andhra University of Visakhpatnam. He is life member of Odisha Commerce Association and member of Odisha Management Association. Organizing social activities in district of Ganjam and specifically in Berhampur he is well known and he has attended different social functions as speaker.

Attitude in workplace matters a lot. While an employee works faces many troubles as well as favourable conditions in workplace. Wandering in dilemma sometimes he gets stress and anxiety. During this modern age rapid degradation of values and morality is observed frequently. Due to such situation it increases the workplace tension and an employee feels uncomfortable while works. At the same time workplace spirituality becomes the remedy for such trouble. The realization comes in mind for research after reviewing many more views of many authors. In certain cases it is identified that there is trouble in negative attitudes shown by employees in workplace. The frequent reports show that in some cases few bank employees show fraudulent behaviour. Such activity of them not only hampers the customer services but also degrades the status of employees and people lose faith on them. That is why it becomes important to deal employees in workplace with respect to spirituality. By practice of this many employees become aware about their selves and recognize the true purpose of life and work. In certain mode of life this realization comes that every individual is conscious and having specific purpose of work. To assess properly the human behaviours it is important to deeply identify the nature of human attitudes. Here we proceed to eradicate the negative attitudes from workplace and to observe development of positive attitudes of employees. This formulates the theme of this study. Again this realization comes that only spirituality is the way which guides human beings from inside. This helps in giving true recognition to the self. Employees in workplace not only work by hands but also with effort from true mind. For development of both mental and physical effectiveness in attitudes it becomes necessary to guide them with true universal principles which help in building moral, ethical, social, cultural and spiritual values within themselves. The Divine origin of work is well described in the holy Bible. All scriptures truly guide humanity from age old traditions. Life does not restrict to mere talk. Life is full of responsibilities that every human being should realize in workplace. The creator has fixed works in life and nobody can escape from it. But every human being has the freedom of doing work. That is why human attitudes related to working capacity matter a lot. Sometimes a human being works perfectly and sometimes gets attached with negativity and performs something bad. Having freedom of action and not understanding the depth of law of action takes the human being in to the deep of dilemma. While he practices spirituality in life gradually understands the true laws of action and becomes cautious in workplace while performing actions. As per specification of the Holy Qur'an a person realizes that everybody has to work and there is no alternative because nobody can bear the burden of another. Employees work in office and take advantage of earnings. They do earn not only to take care of themselves but also for their family, children and relatives to maintain their social life. Many principles from Buddhism and Jainism teach to do earning by righteous manner and maintain a spiritually balance life at workplace and home both. Due to such attitude many children learn from their parents about spirituality and live amoral life. The impact of attitudes of elders falls deeply among upcoming generations. That is why it is necessary to be cautious in every aspect to deal life and work. The maintenance of resources depends on the human beings and that is why it is necessary to refine the human attitudes for proper utilization of these. To have deep idea about increasing productivity we need to study the human attitudes with respect to spirituality 3 This study highlights the importance of practice of spirituality in workplace. After having a brief review with many spiritual scriptures and books the problems are well identified and solutions are found. The views of many authors are taken in to account for assessment of workplace spirituality and human behaviour. Workplace effectiveness of employees is discussed well. Very deep investigation is done through primary data collection with suitable questionnaires and evaluated by various tools and techniques available in statistics . The specificity is given to the study of bank employees. This study has come towards conclusion giving sufficient emphasis on various corners of workplace spirituality in management. Many researchers will definitely get new ideas from the recommendations and highlight the importance of such study. They will not only open the new directions ahead but also realize the true essence of such study in their each step of work. We hope this thesis on completion has given satisfaction and will definitely be beneficial for many to show new path in life and will encourage employees to practice spirituality in their lives for better attitudes and nourishment of humanity.
