Book Description
The Hedyotis-Oldenlandia complex belonging to Rubiaceae, is one of the most intricate yet interesting taxonomic complexes in existence. It is known for its wide range of morphological diversity and the long standing taxonomic incomprehensibility by generic delimitations. The group comprises approximately 500–600 species, globally [Groeninckx et al., 2009; Govaerts et al., 2014]. However, in India, it is represented by only 74 species [Dutta & Deb, 2004].
