Book Description

Pharmaceutical Biotechnology has emerged as one of the major disciplines as more and more biotechnology products are gaining approval as medicines. This book represents an attempt to relate the biotechnology aspects to pharmaceutical science. The book covers the basic aspects of drug development and manufacturing. Emphasis has been made on formulation and analysis of biopharmaceuticals. Only handful of books in this field emphasized combined information of development, analysis, manufacturing, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics as well as pharmacotherapy. This book seeks to cover these major sections. It is hoped that graduate, post graduate students of biotechnology in engineering, pharmacy and science would find this book as a useful tool to understand the field of pharmaceutical biotechnology.
