(Pharmacology) and diploma in child health (DCH) from
Jawaharlal Nehru medical college Aligarh Muslim university,
Aligarh, UP and also worked there as senior resident and assistant
professor for eight years, I joined as associate professor in 2014 at
HIMSR, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, and established the
department and recently college has got recognition. At present I
am working in the same college as professor of pharmacology.
I worked for five years in problem based learning system with the
faculty from Queen's university Ontario, Canada and Maastricht
University, Netherland.
This practical book apart from covering all the topics recently introduced by medical council
of India (MCI gazzet-2017) focusses more on problem based learning in pharmacology,
Antimicrobial stewardship programme, concept and practice of P-drug and
pharmacovigilance which is the need of hour. |
Book Description
In the last two decades medical Pharmacology have rapidly advanced in the countries of south-East Asia. Pharmacology teaching is now focused on patient oriented applied part than earlier. The need of hour is to decrease the irrelevant topics from the pharmacology syllabus of undergraduate and post graduate and utilize the time in teaching and practicing the topics which is more relevant and useful for the society. This manual of Practical Pharmacology has been designed to provide guidelines for the teachers and students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) about what should be taught and read and practiced in Pharmacology to make a good practicing clinician and researcher, which is the main objective of the present medical education. The content of this book will help the medical graduate to become thinking clinician and rational prescriber.
