Microbiology is a branch of science has much relevance in day to day activities of human life. This branch of science nds its applications in agriculture, medical, veterinary, dairy, industry, environment, space etc. This book specially focused on microbiology applications on agriculture keeping in view of agriculture graduates; post graduates in agriculture specialized in microbiology and faculties engaging in teaching of agricultural microbiology. This book consists of 1000 objective questions divided into four parts viz., I. Choose the best answers (660 nos.), II. Fill in the blanks (150 nos.), III. True or False (150 nos.), IV. Matching (40 nos.). The objective questions deals with topics like basic microbiology, microbial taxonomy, microbial genetics, food and industrial microbiology and soil and environmental microbiology. In the eld of agriculture, a large number of competitive books consisting of objective questions are available in the market especially for subjects like plant breeding, plant genetics, entomology, plant pathology, soil science etc. However, no such books are available for the subject, agricultural microbiology. Based on this urgent requirement, this book was made to address the need of students who are preparing for Agricultural Research Service, IARI PhD entrance exam and other competitive exams in the eld of agricultural microbiology.
