Dr.Steffi has secured university ranks in under graduation and
post-graduation. Her practical knowledge coupled with intelligence and hard works were
well recognized and rewarded with 100% results in UG and PG.She had been awarded with
Maulana Azad National Fellowship (JRF) for Minority Students by University grants
commission (UGC), New Delhi. Received 5 lakhs from University grants commission for
Ph.D project. She has published research papers in peer reviewed journals listed in Scopus
and Web of science. She has authored a book entitled “Monograph on polyphenols”. She has
been acting as reviewer for 'Human Molecular Genetics' in 'Malayalam' at NPTEL, IIT,
Madras and reviewer for 'International Journal of Molecular Biology: Open Access.' She has
been awarded twice with Best Oral Presentation award in the International and National
symposium. |
Book Description
This book is prepared by editing the Ph.D dissertation of Dr. P. F. Steffi, awarded on 9th September 2015. Content of this book well describes a pharmacologically active ingredient Curcumin derived from a traditional system based plant Curcuma longa which is worldwide well known. This Curcumin is a bio molecule used as drug for treating many diseases because of antioxidant, anti- inflammatory, anti-cancer activities and so on. When an active ingredient based on modern medicine system adopts traditional system, it must meet out many challenges for successful formulation. This dissertation has passed all such obstacles and achieved modern system of formulation with required standards for commercialization. Concepts behind this formulation are well narrated with strategies and technologies. Highlights: Nano suspension formula for oral drug delivery, enhanced bioavailability, improved stability all these merits by low cost novel methods.
