Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge from Kothiwal Dental College and Research Centre, Moradabad
in 2017. She is skilled in geriatric patient care, prosthetic rehabilitation of the orofacial complex as
well as clinical implantology. She has a number of national and international publications to her credit.
Currently she is working as a senior lecturer in Mithila Minority Dental College and Hospital,
Darbanga, Bihar. |

An all-rounder since the beginning, Dr. Rudra completed his BDS from the prestigious Government
Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai in 2008. He finished his MDS in Conservative Dentistry and
Endodontics from Government Dental College and Hospital, Srinagar in 2012. His keen acumen in
designing and conducting in vivo and in vitro research studies has fetched him a number research
papers and prizes to his credit. He has been a popular teacher amongst hundreds of BDS students from
Institute of Dental Sciences and Indira Gandhi Government Dental College, Jammu. |

A formidable figure in the making, Dr. Vibhuti graduated from Indira Gandhi Government Dental
College and Hospital, Jammu in 2012, top of her class in final year. She went on to pursue her Masters in
Oral Medicine and Radiology from Government Dental College and Hospital, Srinagar from 2012-
2015. She has won many prizes for best paper, poster and essay in National conferences. Till date, she
has authored numerous papers in national as well as international journals. Currently, she is working as
Registrar, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College
and Hospital, Jammu. |
Book Description
Humankind has always been plagued by the problem of restoring parts of the body lost as a result of accident or disease. Practitioners of dentistry have been confronted with this problem since the beginning of dental practice, and the means of replacing missing tooth structure by artificial materials continues to account for a large part of dental science. Artificial restoration of the lost and missing teeth and other hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity and the face covers a major part of the modern dental practice. One of the essential requisites for satisfactory function of any artificial restoration is adequate fit. To ensure the accuracy of the fit, fabrication is best carried out directly inside the oral cavity on the affected part. However, as it is not possible to work directly inside the oral cavity, a duplicate reproduction of the affected part in a durable material becomes necessary for indirect fabrication in the laboratory. Hence, certain materials are used to register or reproduce the form and relationship of the teeth and oral tissues and are commonly referred to as impression materials.
