Dear readers, On behalf of all the authors, we hereby present to you our sincere effort to bring together all important practicals in microbiology. Nowadays, a large number of books are available on practical microbiology that can be assessed easily but those books do not cover all the topics as per revised medical curriculum. Most of the students are forced to consult and refer a large number of books to full these academic requirements. This book on practical microbiology aims to meet almost all of the academic requirements of undergraduate MBBS students. We hope that there will be no need to consult a large number of books that not only saves time which is very precious for the MBBS students, but also infuses a much broader concept clarity which is a pre requisite for achieving more and more excellence in the subject of microbiology. The book is divided in 15 chapter. The chapters in the book are arranged chronologically so that the fallout from one chapter will not repeat in another if the chapters are studied in the chronological order. Some of the chapters containing concepts that requires a rm grasping are dealt in independent chapters containing the stand-alone basics and the practical aspects all together, inculcating a deep understanding of the whole subject matter.
