Book Description
To become mother is the dream of every women , but sometime this dream becomes nightmare due to the presence of complications during pregnancy. To have a healthy mother and baby one should be aware of these high risk factors and how to identify them and where to go for treatment in time. Motherplays an important role in our life but so many mothers die during pregnancy due to lack of knowledge of the high risk factors. Maternal mortality is death of a women while pregnant or within 42 days of the termination of pregnancy irrespective of the duration and the site of the pregnancy ,from any cause related to or aggravated by the pregnancy or its management but not from accidental or incidental causes. In India Maternal mortalityis high as compared to developed countries. The main causes of maternal deaths are Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension , septicaemia. The maternal mortality can be reduced by awareness about these high risk cases to the mothers ,family members , ASHA and other social workers . The main aim of this book is to increase the awareness about high risk pregnancy cases so that these patients can be referred in time to higher centres and complications can be reduced and mothers can be saved.
