Prof. (Dr) Shadab Mohammad | Prof. Shadab Mohammad is presently heading the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, King Georges Medical University with 28 years of teaching experiences & more than 200 publications. He has done his BDS & MDS from King Georges Medical University, Lucknow. He has been honored as gold and silver medalist in his graduation and also awarded several national and international fellowships for his excellences in oral and maxillofacial surgery, such as WHO Fellow-Switzerland, AO Fellow-University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, T.C.White Fellowship-U.K., Basic AO Training, DAVOS-Switzerland. He has also done different courses and training from AO-Bone Plating System (Maxillofacial course) at DAVOS, Switzerland, AO-CMF Course at Bangaluru. He is member of different national & international association & reviewer of many reputed journals. He is also engaged with many intra and extramural research projects. |

Sana Farooqui | Sana Farooqui is presently working as the Ph.D Scholar at Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, King Georges Medical University, She passed her UG & PG from University of Lucknow & awarded U.G.C. National Research Fellowship New Delhi, India. Awarded Best Student Award in Graduation, she has also served as volunteer for National Service Scheme and trained as BLS course from KGMU. Book Description
The name of the book is Understanding Oral Oncology: Current Challenges & Future Conquests. The book is illustrated with several clinical photographs of oral cancer and precancer those collected from Indian clinical settings. The book also includes the research results of collaborative studies to reveal the fatal consequences (Oral Precancer, cancer) of the cases that had tobacco habits. Importantly, in the book, the concept of Oral cancer development, its forms, consequences, risk factors, has been incorporated. Also explained is how a cancer patient is encouraged to help him and others in battling this dreadful disease. It is a Handbook for Oral cancer ills to form strong wills. We also have discussed in the book about how the treatment works costeffectively through quick and early screening and establishing a care management to pre-cancerous oral lesions and cancerous oral lesions. This book has exhaustive coverage of topics that have heretofore received limited attention in textbooks devoted to oral cancer, including the evaluation and management of oral premalignant and malignant lesions. It is hoped education and treatment will in the long term safe millions of lives in India. It is hoped that the future of dentistry promises to be a bright, exciting, artistic, and rewarding. It will continue to facilitate the learning process through lessons learned from patients in a humanistic environment. It will be a key factor in enhancing the quality of life of patients.
