Book Description

70% of patients with congenital heart diseases have multi factorial causes, because the evolution of the heart is anointer action of genes environment[1].Often, only a small percentage of is olated major heart defects are detected prenatally, resulting in worse neonatal and infant outcome. Left heart anomalies contain: aortic stenosis, hypo plastic left heart syndrome, interruption aortic arch, coarctation of the aorta. Certain types of defects have higher recurrence risks[2]. The highest rikis for left heart obstructive defects such as hypo plastic left heart syndrome, aortic stenosis and coarctation of the aorta, with recurrence rates up to 10 to 15%. 3–Dultr a sound supplies a volume of a target anatomic region, which contains an in finite number of 2–D planes. Spatio temporal image correlation(STIC), is a technology that allows the keeping of information acquired from fetal heart in a four dimensional(4D)cine loop sequence, so that other person can review it offline[3].The quality of the 3– Dvolumeis dependent on the quality of the 2–Dultr a sound examination. The reference plane is the four chamber view of the heart and the acquisition angles are between 20 and 35 degrees. STIC as sures the reconstruction of a3Drendered image that contains depth and volume which may supply additional information which is not available from the thin 2Dimageslices. It also present gray–scale or color Doppler information or both for diastole and systole. Accurate anatomic diagnosis and assessment of congenital aortic arch anomalies (AAAs) is imperative for clinical decision making and surgical intervention. Of ten times, 2–dimensional echo (2DE)/Doppler cannot make unequivocal diagnosis and assessment of AAAs [4]. Disadvantages of STIC acquisition include a fairly delayed acquisition time, which can be delay by fetal movements or maternal breathing movements, thus establishing artifact in to volume
