Dr. Shazina Saeed | Dr. Shazina Saeed has completed M.B.B.S from Universal
College of Medical Sciences, Tribhuvan University, Nepal,
M.P.H (Public health Genetics) and M.S (Human Genetics) from
University of Pittsburgh, USA. She currently works as an
Assistant Professor (Grade III) at the Amity Institute of Public
Health, Amity University, Noida. Shazina does research in Public
Health, Cardiovascular Genetics and Developmental Biology.
She has many International and national publications to her
credit, with a publication in the prestigious Nature genetics journal. Her current project is
'Congenital Heart defects associated with Microdeletion syndromes.' |
Book Description
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a widespread worldwide public health malady due to a viral COVID-19 infection. World Health Organization has afrmed this malady as a pandemic and Public Health Emergency of International Concern. In agreement with the current statistics, the pandemic has caused > 23 million positive cases globally. Individuals more than 60 years of age and with associated comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, renal, cardio-pulmonary disorders are distinctly more vulnerable compared to the general population. The transmission from asymptomatic carriers, lack of effective treatment, and vaccine are some of the reasons attributable to the rapid spread of the pandemic malady.
