Insects play a critical role in the welfare of mankind with their enormous utilitarian values. When they become a source of trouble or loss to farmers, their livestock, crops and stored products, they are known as pests. The general understanding of the subject of applied entomology is must and till date though there is lot of literature and reviews available, tremendous efforts is required to arrive at right conclusions. So, we have tried to put our level best to put the information in the book related every aspect of competitive exams. The book will be of paramount importance for the students appearing for interviews. Viva-voce, comprehensive exams, prelims and other competitive exams as it would help them to revise the entire course of Entomology within a short time and to recollect the vast knowledge they gained by reading different books of Entomology. Since this is the first edition of the book and it has been published within a very short span of time, hence there is the every possible to have more printing mistakes. We would, therefore feel pleasure if informed by the readers with regards to such mistakes.
