Book Description
The use of plants as medicines has been an important component of the health care system in India. In India, the reference to the curative properties of some herbs in the Rigveda seems to be the earliest record of the use of plants as medicines. This book contains a small collection about ayurvedic herbs in stree roga from a large reservoir of ayurvedic literature. This book is useful for both the theory as well as clinical part. We have tried to put all information of herbs together including research updates. Gana and mahakasaya useful in reproductive system have been described in separate chapter. It will made easy for practitioners ,students and researchers while prescribing, selecting or designing the treatment protocol. There will be easy understanding for scientific rational and other details behind choosing the drugs. In classics few recipes prescribed for particular diseases are indicated to be used in certain gynaecological conditions are mentioned in a book. Hindi and botanical names of all plants referred in the text have been given in appendix I and II after arranging these in alphabetical order. Any errors and inadequacies that may remain in this work are entirely our responsibility and suggestions are highly welcome.
