Dr. Sabhiya Majid is a doctorate from PGIMER .Chandigarh. She is presently Professor & Chairperson Department of Biochemistry, Govt Medical College Srinagar, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kashmir, Hazratbal Srinagar. This department is Research Centre of university of Kashmir A keen researcher, she has around eighty research publications in journals of repute , conference proceedings and several book chapters to her credit. She has been a recipient of prestigious fellowships, scholarships and awards during her scientific career. Including those from UGC, CSIR, PGIMER, and Young Scientist Award-1993 by Department of Science & Technology in Medical Sciences (1994), ABI Women's Achiever Award (2006). A recipient of funds from various Government of India funding agencies she has implemented various research projects and infrastructure development schemes including FIST –DST-GOI. An able organizer and a keen administrator , she has been actively involved in organizing national and International Conferences, Workshops, training programs and screening camps Professor Sabhiya is a member of reputed scientific associations and various Boards of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Studies Prof. Majid has twenty three years of experience in teaching ,research and supervision of diagnostic laboratories of Govt Medical College Srinagar She has been actively involved in imparting knowledge to MBBS, BDS, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology students She is actively involved in supervision of M.Phil, PhD ,MD and MS, scholars. Her current research work is aimed at trying to find the non invasive markers for cancer diagnosis.

Dr. Showkat Ahmad Bhat has done his maters from University of Kashmir in Clinical Biochemistry and Ph.D. from BU, Ajmer Rajasthan in Department of Biochemistry during his PhD program he had the position as JRF of J&K DST sponsored project. Also, he has Post Doctoral research fellowship experience from the Department of Biochemistry F.V.Sc and AH SKUAST-Kashmir, funded by Indian Council of Medical Research ICMR New Delhi (SRF scheme project). He has been a recipient of many prestigious fellowships and awards during his scientific career. Including those from ICMR (SRF), CSIR (RA-3), JRF (J&K DST funded project), RCR6 -Royal College of Radiologists Ross Prize entrants - NCRI Cancer Conference the BT Convention Centre Liverpool UK, best oral presentation award - BIOCME-2015 North Zone ACBI meet. Dr. Bhat is a highly skilled clinical Biochemist, Molecular Biologist and has scientific expertise in the field of cancer biology, clinical biochemistry and genetics. He has published fifty papers in international and national high repute journals having more than 80 citations (h-index 5, i10-index 3) and also has large number of conference proceedings and twenty book chapters to his name. Since 2014 Dr. Bhat has been co-supervising PG students of different universities during their project work. Dr. Bhat has three years of experience in teaching. Currently Dr. Bhat is working as Demonstrator, Department of Biochemistry, (Research Centre of university of Kashmir), Govt. Medical College (GMC), Karan-Nagar, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India-190010, actively involved in importing knowledge to MBBS, BDS and DMLT students. Besides Dr. Bhat is actively involved in guiding the M. Phil and PhD scholars during their research work. Currently Dr. Bhat is involved in Cancer biology research to find out the non invasive tumor markers for early detection of cancer.

Dr. Nisar Ahmad Gasi (MBBS;MS- General Surgery). Has graduated and specialized as a surgeon specialist from postgraduate Department of Surgery ,Govt. Medical College Srinagar ,Faculty of Medicine ,University of Kashmir .Dr Nisar has more than twenty years of experience as surgeon specialist Department of Health, Jammu and Kashmir ,besides around five years of experience as surgeon specialist in Ministry of Health ,Kingdom of Saudi Arabia . He is keenly interested in the field of Surgery and oncology, currently he is actively involved in patient care.
