with M P Arts and M H Commerce College for Women, Ahmedabad
since 1994. He is MCom, PhD and has teaching experience of 27
years at BCom and MCom level. He also extends his services as head
of the department of commerce and in-charge of PG center of the
college. His areas of interest are accounting and finance. He has
participated in more than 30 workshops, national and international
conferencesand presented research papers. He has completed one
minor research projectsponsored by UGC and also participated

Book Description
In this this book, financial analysis of Public sector and Private sector banks in India is done by using CAMEL Model, Common Size Statement and Anova analysis. The first chapter discusses the review on research done in the related areas of financial performance of banks. The second chapter makes evaluation of Indian banks on the basis of various parameters like Capital Adequacy, Capital Risk Adequacy Ratio, Debt Equity Ratio, Non-Performing Assets Asset Quality Management , Total Advance to Total Deposit Ratio, Total Advance/ Total Deposit; profit; advances; deposit; business per employee, Earnings Quality, Return on Assets , and Liquidity using CAMEL Model, Common Size Statement and Anova analysis. Chapter -3discusses research methodology used which includes statement of the problem, hypotheses, objectives of study, scope of the research, research design, data source and data analysis. Financial analysis of public sector banks and private sector banks by common size balance sheet and common size profit and loss account in chapter: 4 common size balance and common size profit and loss accounts, interbank analysis of public sector bank of common size statement, interbank analysis of private sector bank of common size statement, comparative analysis of average performance of public sector and private sector bank for common size statement. Chapter-5 discusses findings of basic camel model. Findings of the financial analysis of public sector and private sector banks from the viewpoints of capital adequacy, assets quality, efficiency, management and liquidity are discussed. Findings of interbank comparison of public sector and private sector banks and sectorial analysis of camel model analysis are also discussed.
